With this award, S脺DWESTMETALL- Baden W眉rttemberg Association of the Metal and Electrical Industry honours particularly outstanding dissertations that are significant for the industrial working world and/or its socio-political framework conditions.
A board of trustees consisting of representatives from S眉dwestmetall and Ulm University decides on the recipients of the award at Ulm University.
