What we offer
Start your continuing education with our smallest units 鈥� the microcredentials 鈥� or a certificate course, and build on your learning in line with your personal needs and circumstances to progress to a Certificate of Advanced Studies, a Diploma of Advanced Studies or a full Master鈥檚 degree.
Your benefits
Our entire range of courses is designed as continuing professional education within the meaning of lifelong learning. We鈥檒l briefly outline the key elements for you.
Modular structure: Everything is organised on a modular basis. Start with individual, practice-oriented courses and build up your studies to a Master鈥檚 degree. Recognition and crediting of external qualifications are, of course, also possible.
Blended learning approach: Limited classroom hours (approx. 20 per cent), with a high proportion of self-directed learning (approx. 80 per cent), which is usually carried out as an intensively supervised e-learning phase.
Personalised module selection: You are largely free to decide the order of the modules and the number you take each semester.
Flexibility: Thanks to the blended learning approach, you are largely free to decide for yourself when and where you study.
Compatible with work, family and leisure: Tailor your study load to suit the time you have available.
A recognised educational institution within the meaning of the Baden-W眉rttemberg Educational Leave Act 鈥� up to 5 days鈥� educational leave per year may be taken.
Our approach
Flexible, practical and location-independent: the modern approach to continuing education is called e-learning. It is a different way of teaching and learning.
With our blended learning approach, we combine pedagogically sound traditional face-to-face sessions with modern forms of e-learning. To this end, we use the widely adopted Moodle learning platform and supplement the face-to-face sessions at Ulm University with webinars. We are constantly working to optimise teaching methods and instructional design for lifelong learning in online and blended-learning formats. Each (study/degree) programme is structured to consist of approximately 80 per cent self-directed learning and 20 per cent face-to-face sessions at Ulm University.
You can find more detailed information about our web-based learning environment and the tools we use, such as BigBlueButton, the cloud or our remote tool server, here. The learning materials for your degree programme are made available on our Moodle learning platform. You can access them at any time.
