Privacy Preservering Traffic Analysis

Network logs relevant to research often contain information that could reveal the identity of the person conducting the measurements or that is protected under data protection legislation. To ensure that such research data can nevertheless be published safely, this project aims to develop a tool that scans PCAP files for such content and removes it. Furthermore, the tool is intended to provide the user with an overview of the recorded logs and security-relevant features, enabling them to configure it optimally for their specific use case.

Developing a tool for easy evaluation of covert channel techniques

As part of my bachelor thesis, I am developing a tool designed to simplify the evaluation of novel covert channel techniques. This tool will provide a intuitive interface for implementing covert channels and data processors for pre- and post-processing, while also providing a TUN interface for sending and receiving data.
